Description
The Culinary Arts Program is a one year Certificate program which prepares students for employment in the food service and hospitality industry. Through a combination of classroom instruction and assigned experiences in the program’’s kitchen and dining room facilities, students receive training in nutrition, menu planning, kitchen sanitation, food preparation, food purchase and meal serving.
Graduates of the program typically obtain employment as cooks, cook’’s helpers and assistant bakers in restaurants or other institutions where operations include food service, such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes.
