Description

Spruce Mountain Adult & Community Education offers the ServSafe® Manager Certification, a nationally recognized food safety credential required for many supervisory and management roles in the food service and hospitality industry.


This 8-hour instructor-led training provides comprehensive instruction in foodborne illness prevention, safe food-handling practices, sanitation and cleaning procedures, allergen awareness, time and temperature control, and regulatory compliance. The course is designed to fully prepare participants to successfully pass the ServSafe Manager Certification Exam.


Participants will complete the certification exam on the same day as training, with results provided immediately upon completion. The ServSafe Manager Certification is valid for five years and is widely accepted by employers across Maine and nationwide.


This program supports employment and career advancement in restaurants, school nutrition programs, healthcare facilities, catering services, hospitality venues, and institutional food service settings.
