Description

The Phlebotomy Training Program at Spruce Mountain Adult Education prepares students for entry-level employment in healthcare settings through focused instruction and hands-on training. This 10-week evening program, meeting twice per week for 3½ hours per class, is designed for adult learners pursuing careers in healthcare.


Coursework includes medical terminology; human anatomy and physiology; the circulatory, lymphatic, and immune systems; specimen collection methods and equipment; specimen handling; and professional issues such as quality control and legal considerations. Practical experience is incorporated throughout the program to support skill development and workplace readiness.


Graduates are prepared to sit for the national phlebotomy certification exam.
