Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Complete (PTMED3005)
This course prepares students for entry-level roles in medical billing and coding by covering medical terminology, insurance guidelines, compliance, and the healthcare revenue cycle. Students develop practical skills in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as billing procedures and documentation used in healthcare settings.
This program is suitable for individuals pursuing entry-level roles in medical billing and coding or transitioning into the healthcare field. No prior experience is required, though basic computer skills are recommended to support student success.
The program prepares students for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification exam.
The program includes a certification exam voucher, provided as part of the total program cost and subject to funding approval for eligible participants.
