Description
The purpose of the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B Permit Prep Course is to prepare English Language Learner students for the Knowledge portion of the CDL Class B permit exam. Students will be using the State of Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicle handbook and online resources to prepare for the multiple choice exam. After completing the course, students have the opportunity to be hired by Portland Public Schools as a school bus driver trainee or other local employers. Due to grant funding, this program is free for accepted students.
Prerequisites: CASAS score 225, work authorization, current Class C license, approved application
