Description
Clinical Medical Assistant- This program will be held a total of 6
hours, twice a week for 16 weeks. Upon completion of the program you
will take your national certification of CCMA (Certified Clinical
Medical Assistant). Open to all students anywhere in the state: Newly added partnership with Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) and Central Maine Healthcare provides 40 hours (4 hours per week after week 4 of the program) of student clinical experiences in medical settings prior to graduation- this is not an externship. This Career Match Opportunity (CMO for CMAs at AMP) is an exceptional pathway to work that provides real experiences, experiential learning, and builds confidence in addition to the skills labs that are already part of the program. Externships may be required; we assist with placement.
