Description
This Phlebotomy course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and efficiently perform blood collection (venipuncture) and related laboratory procedures. The course prepares individuals for entry-level positions as phlebotomists in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare settings.
An enrollment interview and CASAS assessments are pre-requisites for acceptance to this course. Course has mandatory attendance requirements and requires successful completion in order to sit for the national certification exam.
This class can be taken as a stand alone for certification as a Phlebotomy Technician but may also be taken to satisfy the pre-requisite module for our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program for 2026.
Course includes an additional 2 week optional study section for the national certification exam.
To be eligible for the optional externship rotation after certification, students must successfully complete the 94.5 hour program, pass the national certification exam, provide records documenting required immunizations, and submit to a thorough background check. Students may also be required to submit to drug screening and meet other requirements dependent on placement.
36 Sessions Phlebotomy Course with an additional optional 6 sessions study preparation for the national certification exam.
