The nursing curriculum is designed to focus upon basic human needs of individuals throughout the lifespan. Through the use of the nursing process, students develop necessary knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to individuals with well-defined health problems. Legal, ethical and role responsibilities of the nurse are addressed within each level. Guided learning experiences in the laboratory and structured health care settings are correlated with classroom instruction.
Graduates will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination.
Graduates will find employment opportunities in health care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes and medical offices. Graduates may also choose to transfer to a four year university to complete their bachelor’s degree in nursing.
