Description
In the age of social media, smart phones and the desire to become more vibrant and youthful, there is an emphasize and importance on physical appearance. The beauty and spa industry is evolving and expanding, anti aging and skincare treatments are in high demand and future opportunities in this field are robust. Aesthetics is not just a luxury service. It has become an integral part of a health and beauty regiment for so many people.
The 600 clock hour Aesthetics program is taught with synchronous online learning classes and in-person/on-campus instruction, testing and practice. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion that meets requirements by the State of Maine, Cosmetology & Barbering Licensing Program and prepares the graduate to pass the state exam, and apply for a state license to practice as an Aesthetician.
In this program, you learn how to treat and beautify the skin, as well as pamper the mind, body and spirit. You will become wholly versed in the maintenance and protection of the skin, which qualifies you to work in spas in a wide variety of medical and spa locations.
