Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder. 510713

Description

This nationally recognized Advanced Medical Coding for the Physician’s Office (ACPO) online program will teach you diagnostic and procedural coding using CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding manuals. This is an advanced program, designed for students with previous medical coding experience. Prior to enrolling for this program, you should have already completed basic coding education or the ed2go Administrative Medical Specialist with Medical Billing and Coding (AMS w/MBC) or Medical Billing and Coding program.

Preparation for the Certified Coding Specialist—Physician-based (CCS-P) certification exam is included in this program. The textbook for this program and the guide for certification preparation are provided. In addition, this program also helps prepare for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. This online certificate program is offered in partnership with major colleges, universities, and other accredited education providers.

Please note that this course is for coders who are seeking training in advanced physician coding, not hospital coding. It is designed for coders working in, or seeking employment in, a physician’s office, clinic, or group practice.
