Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
This Integrated Education and Training (IET) program intended to prepare participants to become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) is for learners whose CASAS scores are between 228 and 239. Students take two terms of courses (~12 weeks per term)
Term 1:
- Digital Skills for Learning and Work
- Foundational Math Skills for the Professional Career
- Healthcare Essentials - Medical Terminology, HIPAA and intro to EHR
Term 2:
- State of Maine CNA Curriculum
- Reading comprehension and test preparation
- Career Planning
Students who complete the course are eligible to take the State of Maine CNA
exam. They will also be supported in finding a position as a CNA after the program.
