Diesel Mechanic - Service Writer Technician Do you take pride in quality workmanship? Are you a skilled mechanic who thrives in a hands-on environment? What You’ll Do This unique role combines expert hands-on mechanical work with customer service management. You will:- Build Emergency Vehicles: Transform brand-new vehicles into fully equipped emergency units by installing truck bodies, light bars, wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, and HVAC connections.
- Perform Expert Repairs: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, heavy-duty equipment, and complex electrical systems.
- Maintain & Inspect: Handle routine maintenance and safety inspections on both company and customer vehicles.
- Manage Customer Service: Schedule and manage customer service needs with professionalism and accuracy.
- Stay Organized: Keep accurate records of work performed, log parts used, handle data entry, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Experience: Proven experience working with diesel systems and heavy equipment.
- Skills: Strong mechanical know-how and diagnostic equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Drive: The ability to work independently, find new efficiencies, and contribute fresh ideas.
- Teamwork: A reliable professional who works well both alone and with a team.
- License: A valid Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach above or below shoulder level.
- Ability to work comfortably in, on, under, and around vehicles, including tight or small spaces.
