Water and Sewer LaborerLimestone, ME – Opportunity to Hire Schedule: Full-Time/Days; Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00–$19.00/hr. Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Water and Sewer Laborer for a full-time opportunity in Limestone. This position will assist with the maintenance, repair, and general operation of municipal water and sewer systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and is interested in building a long-term career in the water and wastewater field. Construction or general labor experience is a plus, but candidates who are dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable performing physical work are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
- Assist with water and sewer system maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Support excavation, construction, and general labor projects as needed.
- Assist with locating, maintaining, and repairing water and sewer lines.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as trained and directed.
- Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment and work areas.
- Follow established safety procedures while working around equipment, roadways, and excavation sites.
- Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Assist other crew members with daily projects and maintenance needs.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored visa support.
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment.
- Construction, excavation, utility, or similar labor experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn water and sewer operations and pursue additional training and credentials.
