Department : Imaging Position is located: { Greenville, ME} Work Type : Part Time Eligible Hours Per Week: 24 Hour/Week Work Schedule: 6am-6pm in the dept and 6pm-6am – In the on-Call Room – Located Onsite. Salary Range : $ 32.65 – $50.11 Exempt: No

Summary:

The CT Technologist performs radiologic and CT examinations in accordance with all state/federal safety regulations. The CT Technologist is expected to perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply prescribed amount of radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by the radiologist.

Essential Functions:

- Perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CT examinations utilizing equipment in accordance with department protocols.

- Prepares and administers contrast per department protocols/radiologist guidance

- Proficient in PACS functions and able to assist others as needed

- Prepares and educates patients to procedures

- Maintains equipment in good working condition, operating equipment in accordance with department and manufacturer recommendation, reporting any equipment issues to proper teams for resolution

- Perform phone/clerical/office duties as necessary within the department

- Ensures proper order is in place for patient imaging and obtains correct order when changes are required

Responsibilities : ? Appointment Management – Coordinates appointments on behalf of patients and/or staff. ? Balance Customer Service – Ensures all functions related to customer service supports the department, member organization, and patient related goals. Career Development – Attends education sessions, workshops, and other continuing education opportunities to enhance or gain new skills. ? Cleaning – Cleans assigned areas and/or equipment. May include trash removal and/or disinfecting of clinical and non-clinical areas. Clinical Task – Performs tasks of a clinical nature within scope of assigned duties and clinical expertise. Communication – Communicate effectively in both oral and written form, as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Compliance – Maintains current knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures. Adheres to governmental and industry specific regulations/laws. Confidentiality – Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of information, including patient, personnel, and organizational data/records. ? Customer Service – Provides prompt and effective service to internal and external customers. Documentation – Records, maintains, and prepares documents or information. Electronic Medical Records – Manages / maintains electronic health records in accordance with confidentiality standards and policies. Equipment Usage – Demonstrates and applies understanding of equipment’s usage and maintenance relative to job function. General Office – Performs general office tasks associated with the operations of department and/or organization. ? Infection Control – Follows established procedures and standards to limit the spread of infection. I nventory – Manages inventory, which may include re-stocking, back ordering, purchasing, and returning. ? Mentor – Guides and advises co-workers. ? Performance Improvement – Works towards established performance indicators consistently. Patient Advocate – Provides logistic, financial, emotional support and guidance to patients. ? Patient Care – Works to meet patient’s psychological, emotional, or physical needs. Policy Development – Contributes to the development of policies and procedures. Relationship Building – Develops rapport and strong working relationship with internal and external organizations and communities. Staff Education/Training – Assists with staff education and training as appropriate. Teamwork – Work with members of the team or department in an effective and efficient manner. Shares knowledge and serves as a resource in a team environment. T echnology Utilization – Leverages software and/or hardware relative to job function . Staff Safety – Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
