About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Support Specialists. In this role, you will provide essential non-medical care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. Your support helps our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Provide help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
- Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
- Transportation: Escort clients to doctor’s appointments and help with essential errands.
- Reporting: Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.
