Job Description

Cianbro is seeking a Human Resource (HR) Professional to join our growing team. This full-time position will be based in our Pittsfield Corporate Office. The role will be responsible for applying human resources expertise to support our team members with their benefits needs; our pre-hire and onboarding processes, employment compliance, and I-9 administration.

Job Responsibilities
Administer and audit Form I-9s in accordance with federal requirements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
Interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts/customers on a daily basis as the first point of contact.
Handle employment relations with related inquiries from team members including supervisors and management while referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate party.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource and safety programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, safety, wellness, and overall team member engagement.
Assist with revisions, layout, version control and enhancements for HR forms and manuals and online communications.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, as well as federal, state and local employment law.
Maintain and update reports for daily, weekly and monthly tracking.
Coordinate and review background checks, ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
Maintain accurate employment records and ensure proper document retention.
Support a variety of HR functions including data entry, research, writing, preparing presentations, file storage.
Qualifications/ Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 3 years of human resource experience with exposure to compliance preferred.
Direct experience with I-9 administration and background check processes strongly preferred.
Must possess extremely high ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality of all data and files.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
High attention to detail/organization and excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Portray a positive professional image to the public, our clients, and our team members.
Must be a self-starter who can effectively work in a team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of Products, such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, as well as Adobe
