Job Description
The City of Saco is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our Public Works team. This role plays a key part in supporting construction, maintenance, and operational activities across the city. Salary is $24.83 - $25.83 per hour, depending on skill set and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites:
- Operates a variety of equipment such as automobiles, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, medium rated loaders and similarly rated vehicles or equipment.
- Hauls merchandise, equipment and supplies as directed.
- Performs semi-skilled labor associated with Public Works maintenance and construction activities.
- Maintains all operating equipment in good operating condition.
- May operate trucks, plows and snow blowers during snow and ice removal.
- Requires overtime, both scheduled and non-scheduled.
- Makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
- Services specialized equipment by adjusting belts, oiling, and greasing as needed.
- Performs related work as requested.
- May work in a group of workers on a special maintenance or construction operation.
