Job Description
Eastern Maine Medical Center d/b/a Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has multiple openings in Bangor, ME and Brewer, ME for Medical Oncologists. Provide consultation and treatment for malignant diseases and are a key part of the cancer care treatment team. Examine patients ages 18 and older, order diagnostic tests, make diagnoses and prescribe treatments for patients with cancer. Counsel patients and families on how to manage and best approach their illnesses. Supervise one Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant from team of eleven advanced practice professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for cancer patients. Must have Doctor of Medicine Degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign degree equivalent; 36-month residency in internal medicine or related, or completion certificate confirming equivalent training; and 36-month fellowship in hematology and oncology or related, or completion certificate confirming equivalent training; and Maine Medical License or eligible. $522,181/year.
