Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician II supports pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in medication preparations and dispensing. This role involves managing prescription orders, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. The Pharmacy Technician II also participates in inventory management and ensures compliance with safety regulations, contributing to efficient pharmacy workflow and enhanced patient care. Candidates are required to be nationally certified from an accredited organization.

Responsibilities:

+ Receiving and processing prescriptions, preparing and dispensing medications, measuring and counting medication, labeling and packaging medications and providing information to patients about their medication under the supervision of a pharmacist.

+ Administration Tasks: Process insurance claims, collect patient payments, maintain patient records, and answering phone calls and customer questions.

+ Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ordering and receiving new stock, checking for expired medications, completing daily cycle counts, and between site transfers.

+ Maintain a clean orderly work environment.

+ Adhere to pharmacy regulations and safety standards.

+ No previous experience required.1 year as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting preferred.
