As an Industrial Technician I, you’ll be on the front lines supporting environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, and emergency response services making a real impact while building valuable skills.
What You’ll Do
As an Industrial Technician I, you’ll support field and industrial service operations, including:
- Perform industrial cleaning, tank cleaning, manual remediation, and waste handling
- Enter confined spaces such as tanks, vaults, and maintenance holes (with proper training and PPE)
- Assist with oil spill response, chemical releases, soil and water remediation, and emergency response events
- Handle, package, load, unload, and document hazardous materials and waste
- Operate hand tools and power equipment such as pressure washers, pumps, air compressors, drills, saws, grinders, jackhammers, vac trucks, air movers, jet machines, and water blasters
- Assist with setup, teardown, and decontamination of job sites and equipment
- Perform equipment inspections and report issues using Geotab™ and WhipAround™ systems
- Load and unload equipment from trucks, trailers, and occasionally watercraft
- Complete daily paperwork including timesheets, job hazard analyses (JHAs), spill reports, labels, and manifests
- Maintain warehouse organization, supplies, equipment, buildings, and grounds
- Follow all safety rules, site‑specific safety plans, and PPE requirements at all times
- Work closely with Project Managers, Drivers, Account Managers, Dispatch, and Customers
- Participate in team meetings, safety briefings, and performance improvement initiatives (5S)
Training & Growth
This role includes on‑the‑job training and progressive skill development, including:
- Training on vac trucks, water blasting, jet machines, air movers, and hotsys
- Exposure to confined space entry, lockout/tagout, PPE selection, and chemical compatibility
- Opportunity to advance into more complex projects and higher‑level technician roles as skills and experience grow
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass:
- Pre‑employment physical
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Background check
- Company auto insurance qualifications
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑Hour certification (or ability to obtain)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1–2 years of verifiable industrial cleaning experience (water blasting, vac truck, or air mover work) preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Physically able to:
- Wear required PPE (FR clothing, respirator, protective gear)
- Lift 50+ lbs routinely
- Perform physical labor in industrial environments
Working Conditions

- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and call‑ins
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity)
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and occasionally from boats
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
