Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Arrive to work on-time for scheduled shifts, ready to work in a safe and cooperative manner.
- Participate in daily meetings and report any safety or production concerns to Manager
- Efficiently and effectively work to keep production lines moving at high, yet safe, capacity by performing maintenance on machinery as prescribed through work orders
- Continually maintain a work area that is free of debris and hazards
- Continually observe machinery and equipment operation and report any malfunctions
- Observe and follow all safety protocols at all times
- Arrive to work on-time, daily, prepared for the day’s work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment and Machinery
- Will become familiar with the safe operation of the equipment and machinery associated with the mill.
- Will make use of all safety guards and implements that are associated with equipment, machinery and the facility.
- Will use proper Lock-out/Tag-out Procedures 100% of the time to avoid injuries or harm to equipment.
Essential Requirements
- Proven reliability
- Preventative Maintenance
- Understanding of hydraulics, welding, metal fabrication, pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Properly identify and request machine replacement parts
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Desire to safely work to enhance production processes
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs floor to waist; 40 lbs waist to shoulders; twist, reach away from body, push, pull, grip, climb, repetitive lifting and bend. Ability to stand for long periods of time (10-11 hour shift).
- Satisfactory pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
