Recruiter (Part-Time)

Aroostook County, ME

Schedule: Part-Time; 24 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Pay Rate: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and community-focused Recruiter to support talent attraction efforts in Aroostook County. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about connecting individuals and families with meaningful career opportunities while showcasing the quality of life our region has to offer.

The Recruiter will play a key role in promoting Aroostook County as a destination for both career growth and lifestyle, helping to match skilled talent with opportunities across a range of industries including healthcare, finance and insurance, forestry, value-added manufacturing, agriculture, and hospitality.

This position requires strong relationship-building skills, creativity in outreach, and the ability to engage with candidates throughout the relocation and employment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively recruit individuals and families interested in relocating to Aroostook County
• Promote regional career opportunities across multiple industries and employers
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers, partners, and community organizations
• Conduct outreach through networking, events, social media, and direct engagement
• Screen and assess candidates to align skills, interests, and career goals with available opportunities
• Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the job search and relocation process
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on career pathways and quality of life in Aroostook County
• Track recruitment activity and maintain accurate candidate records

Qualifications:

• Experience in recruiting, workforce development, human resources, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationships and engage a wide range of stakeholders
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Comfortable using technology, social media, and digital platforms for outreach and recruitment
• Knowledge of Aroostook County and its industries is an asset
