Caribou, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Schedule: Full-Time; schedule varies based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary: $60,000–$70,000 annual salary

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to oversee restaurant and bar operations for a local establishment in Caribou. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about bringing new ideas to the restaurant industry and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. 

The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service across all food and beverage areas. This individual will work closely with ownership to maintain operational excellence, support promotions and events, and contribute to the overall success of the business. Ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, communicate effectively, and be committed to creating a positive team culture among staff.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front- and back-of-house staff.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to support performance and retention.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
  • Manage labor, inventory, and food and beverage costs.
  • Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and revenue.
  • Collaborate with leadership on promotions, events, and business initiatives.
  • Support menu updates, presentation standards, and overall service quality.
  • Order supplies and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and licensing regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operations.


Job Requirements:  

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Post-secondary education in business management or related field preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in restaurant, bar, or food & beverage management.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
