Ashland, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Full-Time/Rotating; 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Days) and 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Nights)
Pay Rate: $24.86 – $35.80/hr.
Job Description:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components throughout the facility. Ideal candidate will have an associate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent training in industrial electrical experience, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, safety, and equipment reliability. License to work as an electrician in the State of Maine required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and quality tests to ensure all electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Review work orders and communicate with equipment operators to identify electrical issues.
- Repair or replace defective components and worn parts on machinery and equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain new electrical systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with manufacturers or specialized repair shops to service defective units.
- Maintain detailed equipment logs documenting performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the job site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed to work as an electrician in the State of Maine.
- Associate degree or equivalent training and/or experience in electrical engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in a factory, industrial, or mill setting
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electrical controls, power distribution, PLCs, and variable frequency drives
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
