Cleaning Technician
Ashland, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday, Sunday, and two weekdays.
Pay Rate: $20.81 per hour

Now hiring a full-time Cleaning Technician to join a well-established production facility in Ashland. The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill, as well as properly removing and disposing of debris and waste materials in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes cleaning industrial equipment, production areas, and support spaces to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and compliant with workplace safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of sawmill floors, machinery, workstations, and common areas.
- Safely remove sawdust, wood chips, and other debris using appropriate tools such as brooms, vacuums, or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces to prevent material buildup or contamination.
- Properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with jobsite guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Perform other relevant duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
- Background check required.
