Summary:
The Certified Hand Therapist role performs evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education:Degree in occupational or physical therapy from an accredited program and successful completion of clinical internship.
2. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine License as an Occupational or Physical Therapist. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: 3 years of licensed experience and 4,000 hours of direct practice in hand therapy.
