We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our culinary team. This a per diem position. This position is ideal for someone who will take pride in preparing quality meals for our Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star parents.

What You’ll Do

+ Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements

+ Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines

+ Ensure meals are appetizing, nutritious, and served on time

+ Work closely with dietary staff to accommodate special diets and resident preferences

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas

Requirements

+ Cooking experience in a healthcare, institutional, or commercial kitchen preferred

+ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Dependable, organized, and respectful demeanor

+ Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.

+ Basic computer skills
