Description
Healthcare Pathway Module 3 for Pre-Apprentices
Prerequisites: Healthcare Pathway Modules 1 and 2
Designed for English Language Learners
Certified Nursing Assistant (cannot give medications) Trained to assist licensed nurses in the care of residents and patients in healthcare facilities. Class is 140 hours, including lab, clinicals, and theory - Must pass the state certification exam to be registered to work as a CNA in Maine. Course content includes common diseases and their care, learning observations related to health, including measurement of vital signs. Learning to evaluate observations and communicate findings.. In addition to the 140 hours for CNA, there will be English Language classes to support the
Students successfully completing all the above levels will be part of the Healthcare Apprenticeship program in our community - leading to further training and certifications and ability to earn higher wages.
