Description

Limited English proficiency is the number one barrier to economic opportunity for immigrants, no matter their skill level. Improved proficiency is an essential gateway to economic opportunity, workforce and cultural integration. Our digital language literacy program, powered by Voxy, is an innovative model that integrates English language learning with technology and supports a tailored curriculum and a self-paced learning platform. It provides personalization, flexibility, and career-aligned content. The Voxy’s adaptive lessons can be accessed both on the web and on any mobile device, and certified teachers offer round-the-clock live online instruction through group classes. The iEnglish Project is about to complete a six months program with a group of 20 employees from MaineHealth. In addition to available English courses, in partnership with VOXY, we created a customized course for MaineHealth employees. The course was designed using MaineHealth materials—including company values, policies and safety regulations. After a satisfactory six months program, MaineHealth is expanding the program to other career pathways and employees across the state.
