These 3 retail certifications are offered in a blended learning format using an online platform as well as local adult education instructors and retail professionals. You can take one certification class or all three.

Retail Industry Fundamentals
Gain workplace readiness and customer service skills that are transferable within any industry.
Learning objectives include understanding the retail cycle, learning customer service, sales and operations basics, developing simple math skills, being professional, and exploring careers.
Learners who earn this certificate will develop basic customer service skills, math skills to conduct sales transactions and an understanding of the retail industry, its impact on the economy and the diverse jobs available. Best practices for interviewing and exploring career paths are also covered.
Customer Service & Sales
This credential solidifies excellent customer service and prepares learners to shine in the workplace. Participants develop problem-solving skills that help them meet customer needs, become valuable workplace teammates, and achieve career goals.
The curriculum focuses on understanding multiple retail formats, identifying retail influencers, grasping the importance of quality customer service and product knowledge, recognizing omni-channel purchase options, and projecting professional brand.

Business of Retail: Operations & Profit
Learners will understand the positive impact that retail has on the global economy and be better prepared to run a retail business. Using an engaging curriculum with realistic business scenarios students will gain knowledge of marketing, merchandising, and calculating profit. Participants develop a growth mindset to set and achieve career goals.
Learners who earn this certification will understand merchandising, marketing, store operations, loss prevention and workplace safety. Learners will master math concepts, including determining pricing strategies and calculating profit and discounts. Best practices for planning and advancing one’s career is also covered.
