Description
Medical coding and related occupations are among the fastest growing opportunities in the healthcare industry today! As a medical coding professional, you will be a valuable member of the team working with patients, doctors, nurses, and insurance companies to accurately code diagnoses and procedures on patient medical records ensuring proper reimbursement. The student will learn the basics of medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, ethics, customer service, electronic health records, and medical coding as per the official AAPC curriculum. This course is designed to prepare students for the AAPC (Certified Professional Coder) exam.
The national certification examination for Certified Professional Coder® (CPC®) is included in the course curriculum.
Students who successfully pass this exam will earn the CPC® certificate. Included in the tuition is the exam fee plus one retest, if needed, as well as textbooks and a one-year membership to the governing organization, AAPC.
