Description
Home Health Aide. An instructional program that prepares individuals to assist elderly, convalescent or handicapped patients in their homes by providing for their physical, mental, emotional and/or social health care needs, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Personal Support Specialist (PSS) / licensed by the Department of Education, State of Maine:
1. 50-hour curriculum, Modular based learning
2. The course consist of 14 narrated modules, supported the use of handouts, video workshops, virtual discussion, quizzes, an informational database, and a one-time, on-site, re-demonstration and final exam day.
The course can becompleted in 15 weeks by joining a class, or completed at own pace through Independent Study.
