Description
This 16-hour course is required of the MHRT-1 certification. Participants will receive certification in the
relational and technical workshops learning how to manage their behaviors recognize possible dangerous
situations and de-escalation techniques. Participants will also learn the crisis cycle and how to de-escalate
a situation. The physical skills of assisting, separating and standing restraint are taught in this class.
Recertification is required every year.
