Description
The PCA program teaches basic fundamental skills required by the prescribed curriculum approved by the Departmentof Human Services-Bureau of Elder and Adult Services. These Include: a)the role of the PCA as a member of the health care team, b)legal and ethical issues, c)communication, d)basic human needs, e)special needs of specific groups, f)infection control, g)nutrition, meal preparation, and feeding, h)safety and accident prevention, i)home management, j)body mechanics and k)personal care.
