Medical Records Technology/Technician. An instructional program that prepares individuals to classify medical information and prepare records, under the supervision of a medical records administrator. Includes instruction in medical records science, medical terminology, record classification, user needs, indexing, special records systems, computer operation, and applicable laws and regulations. Also covers medical coding.
