Description
Learn the duties and responsibilities of being a Medical Records Technician. Learn to create and keep an electronic record of a patient’’s medical history. Learn about file trees and how to cross-file. You will also learn the skills needed to collect data and how to record and update doctor and patient interactions. Organizational skills will be highlighted as you learn to transfer paper medical files to electronic files and then maintain them. This
is not a computer based class, but will include a medical records software demonstration. For those interested in working in the medical field, this course fits well with the PAE medical billing, coding, and medical terminology classes.
