Animal Care Technician
Bar Harbor, ME
Schedule:
Bar Harbor – Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Sigh on bonus $1,000 plus an additional $2,000 after 12 months of service
Regularly scheduled pay increases with ability to increase pay 25% in 2 years!

Responsibilities:
Successful team members will undergo a 12-week paid training program, which includes classroom and on-the-job training to learn all aspects of animal husbandry and includes laboratory animal science and genetics. Employees will learn to maintain animals to monitor animal health and welfare, maintain a sanitary environment and prepare animals for shipping. Animal Care is part of the production team and work requires attention to detail, working in a highly controlled clean room environment, fast paced that provides continuous physical movement. Successful candidates will clear a pre-employment physical and background check.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalency. A degree in the life sciences is preferred but not required.
Lifting 25lbs on a regular basis
Walking up a ladder
Work well in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
