($3,000.00 Sign on Bonus paid in 3 installments, prorated for Part Time)
Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6 months to be eligible.
This is a replacement position for our new Specialty and Home Delivery Pharmacy in Westbrook. The person in this role will be fulfillment focused, examples of tasks: Picking, Shipping, Inventory, Compounding and some call center cross training work as needed. Must be able to obtain Maine Pharmacy Technician License.
Position Summary
The Outpatient Dispensing Pharmacy Technician IV is an expert Pharmacy Technician who possesses in depth knowledge and experience gained from working with multiple similar situations within the pharmacy department, over time. The technician assists the pharmacist by preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory and pertinent patient records. The technician identifies opportunities for improvement in work processes and actively contributes to the implementation of improvement efforts. This position functions as the highest level of the Outpatient Dispensing Pharmacy Technician Career Advancement Program and serves as a resource/mentor for other Pharmacy Technicians. Additionally, the technician will perform other related and assigned duties. Failure to maintain the requirements of this level can lead to demotion to another pharmacy role.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or GED certificate required. Associates Degree is preferred.
License/Certifications: Currently licensed as a pharmacy technician in the State of Maine or currently eligible consistent with the current State of Maine Board of Pharmacy requirements. CPHT certificate is required within 1 year of hire.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in pharmacy, healthcare or related experience.
