Job Description
Full-time: $1500 Bonus (bonus paid after successful completion of 60-day introductory period)
We are actively hiring DSPs for multiple locations and schedules including:
- Westbrook, Gorham, Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford and Kennebunk

- DSPs support adult consumers with community inclusion, building natural relationships, daily living skills including budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping, grocery shopping, decision-making, transportation, and personal support.

Schedule:
- This position is full-time (36 to 40 hours weekly)
Pay: $15.00 to $16.00 hourly
- DSP pay without CRMA certification is $15.00/hour. Wage increase available once CRMA training and certification completed.
- DSP pay with CRMA certification is $16.00/hour.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license
- Use of reliable vehicle with current insurance
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification, or willingness to complete certification, required
- Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) credential, or willingness to complete it, required
- Must be comfortable providing personal care to adult consumers with special needs
- Good physical strength; able to bend, lift and stand
- This position is considered a Health Care Provider position by the State of Maine. Health Care Providers are required by the State of Maine to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, or evidence of vaccination in-process required for hire.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee consumers' emotional, physical and cognitive well-being.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for the consumers.
- Assist in developing plans (meal planning/activity planning) and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum to progress towards desired goals and community inclusion.
- Must be able understand and effectively implement the behavior plan for the consumer.
- Assist the consumers in building personal relationships with people outside the program and family.
- Ensure proper medical attention through both wellness activities as well as appropriate contact with medical services during periods of illness/acute injury.
- Assist in implementing all medical and medication procedures prescribed by medical providers.
