Senior Corporate Communications Specialist
Tyler Technologies is looking for an experienced, dynamic writer with an abundance of intellectual curiosity. The corporate communications team has created a new role for a cross-functional writer, editor, and project manager who will collaborate with the media team, internal communications, investor relations, and high level corporate teams. Projects may include materials related to cybersecurity, crisis communications, corporate responsibility, internal technology implementations, or online communications.
This senior corporate communications specialist will write, edit, collaborate on, and manage a variety of corporate materials and initiatives, as well as serving as an internal consultant to multiple departments and functions. We are a software company, so source materials may be technical in nature and require clarification for multiple audiences. We serve the public sector, so you must have a passion for making government better and encouraging thriving communities. This role will have frequent, direct engagement with the senior director of corporate communications and engagement with Tyler's executives.
As a part of Tyler's corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

Responsibilities
Help execute the communications plan, including drafting internal and external messaging and executive communication.
Draft, edit and refine corporate communications materials to align with key messages.
Work collaboratively across the organization with internal stakeholders, including support, development, marketing, HR, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
Clearly articulate complex issues and formulate recommendations that will work for a wide variety of audiences.
Use data to evaluate and report on communication activities and develop best practices and strategies for improvement.
Support the planning and delivery of materials related to security initiatives and crisis communication strategies.
Partner with the media and internal communications teams to support special projects and initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert on AP style, Tyler style, and general excellence in writing and other forms of communications. Ensure appropriate tracking, measurement, and analysis of performance against goals, and adjust where necessary as tools and trends evolve.
Work collaboratively as part of the Corporate Communications team, performing various communication tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable work experience
10-12 years corporate communications experience in a business-to-business or business-to-government environment
Strong writing skills and the ability to generate impactful messages is required, demonstrated through writing samples and references.
Technology/software industry experience required; public sector experience preferred.
Experience effectively managing a variety of projects and timelines.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure.
Strong networking skills.
Information gathering and interpreting skills.
Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in a leadership role a plus.
An excellent understanding of technology applications, data management, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
