Location: Boston, MA area and North (currently remote)

The Senior Solutions Consulting Architect provides design and technical support in the consultation, planning, design, and implementation of virtual and cloud-based solutions along with necessary professional services and supporting technologies. This role typically interfaces with the client’s senior managers including C-Level, VP, and Directors. As a subject matter expert in design and implementation of public cloud architecture, the Senior Cloud Architect serves as a trusted advisor to our customers and understands and delivers the desired business outcomes. As a member of the Professional Services team, the consultant works closely with Pre-Sales Architects, Project Managers and Practice Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design technical solutions in both pre- and post-sales capacities for clients as part of a larger team in a timely and effective manner; meet project milestones and key deliverable dates.
- Communicate with project stakeholders and clients, both gathering, and disseminating information.
- Ensure that identified business outcomes are met through the successful leadership and execution of services engagements
- Perform work and assigned tasks in accordance with established budget and timelines
- Perform superior consultation, implementation, documentation and knowledge transfer for all billable engagements
- Manage competing requests and timelines across simultaneous engagements
- Produce documentation in accordance with GreenPages’ standards
- Support the project manager to manage scope, issues, and escalations.
- Lead project and project related meetings or workshops, both client facing and internal as needed.
- Maintain and develop knowledge on emerging technologies and products across practice areas by attaining certifications, participating in industry events and collaborating across all GreenPages practices areas.
- Maintain technical certifications as required based on organizational needs and competency. Complete trainings related to certifications and identified needed skills as defined by manager.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the GreenPages’ solutions portfolio and specific practice area offerings
- Achieve personal utilization metrics as outlined by management
- Provide daily status reports to project and account teams
Qualifications
Key Criteria:
- Subject Matter Expertise in: AWS cloud services, Microsoft Azure cloud services, VMware vSphere (Current version).
- Seven or more years of relevant consulting experience in customer facing positions balancing competing demands
- Senior level experience with Public Cloud strategies and solutions.
- Public speaking and client facing presentation skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Understand principles of LAN/WAN/SAN networking.
- Understand principles of CI/CD deployment methodologies
- Cloud storage expertise within Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure nice to have.
- Ability to implement high quality technical solutions based on industry best practices and technical requirements
- Proficiency with solutions design, configuration, and implementation.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Must possess ability to convey information to a variety of audiences, one to one and in group scenarios
- Ability to produce written technical documents.
- Must be able work independently with a high degree of quality.
- Demonstration of professional conduct.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training.
- Must be comfortable in speaking to diverse audiences including technical operations, technical management and Director/CTO/CIO level.
- Business writing skills a must, able to work with Word, Excel, and Visio Templates to write and present data analysis used to size and justify technical solutions.
- Recommended technical industry certification/knowledge:
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS DevOps Professional
- VMware VCP or VCIX
- Python
- Terraform
Working Conditions / Environment:
- Largely a field based, work from home position, often work occurs remotely with some onsite and travel requirements. Travel is US based only at this time.
