Cuddledown, a brand of Potpourri Group Inc. is a company committed to making and selling the finest in home furnishings. Cuddledown is seeking a visually creative Freelance Photo Stylist for our studio in Yarmouth, Maine. This Stylist is experienced in a fast-paced production studio environment working with soft goods, specifically bedding and blankets. This role will be responsible for preparing and styling fully made beds to be photographed for use in Cuddledown’s print and web marketing materials. This Stylist will also prepare and style stacks made up of sheets, towels and blankets. This person will be organized with a strong attention to detail and quality.
Responsibilities
- High volume styling of a variety of soft goods (bedding, blankets and towels).
- Collaborate with Art Director and on-set Photographer to accomplish creative goals and merchandising objectives for every collection.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow layouts, written instructions or oral directions and implement Cuddledown’s brand objectives.
- The ability to take direction, receive feedback and make changes quickly.
- Maintain an organized work area.
- High energy, positive attitude with the ability to develop and communicate ideas.
- Professionalism and ability to work well in a small group, as well individually.
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional industry experience styling in high-end, high-volume catalog, advertising, corporate or commercial photography studio environment.
- Portfolio of demonstrable skills and abilities is required.
- Self-driven under tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong understanding of digital photography, production and studio pace.
- Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction.
- Some travel may be required for off-site photo shoots.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must work in our Yarmouth, ME studio.
