Who We Are

The Woodlands Club is a private golf and country club. We are nestled in the heart of Falmouth's gorgeous woods.

Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Golf Professional and will support the professional in finding off-season employment in the industry.

The Pro Shop requires strong customer service skills with expert golf knowledge to support our members in their recreation.

Job Duties:

  • Proficiently operate Golf Genius.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on member needs and desires.
  • Describe golf merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of to members.
  • Play golf with a variety of members and/or guests as time permits.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Oversee the reservation system, starting, monitoring, and pace of play
  • Oversee golf car fleet while ensuring proper maintenance and record-keeping
  • Provide professional club repair and club fitting services
  • Ensure the proper storage, safety, and cleaning of golf equipment
  • Administer the Rules of Golf and educate staff.
  • Develop, maintain, update, and utilize customer database
  • Focus on programs for women, families, seniors, and juniors
  • Supervise physical inventories, present a diverse and desirable array of golf equipment, apparel, accessories
  • Utilize PGA of America player development tools, resources, and materials
  • Provide an enhanced golf instruction program offering individual and group clinics for all levels. Ensure that the services of a well-trained staff of professional instructors are available where required.
  • Adhere to all The Woodlands policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stand, lift, crouch, stand for long periods of time, and work overhead.
