Job Description

Position Overview:
Fedco Trees is looking for a highly detail-oriented and adaptable Customer Service &
Shipping Coordinator to manage daily shipping processes during our winter-spring order
fulfillment season and provide high-quality customer service while answering customer
questions and troubleshooting package delivery issues. The ideal candidate will
possess excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, a
commitment to customer satisfaction, and an interest in gardening and sustainable
agriculture.
Order Fulfillment Season:
● Process orders, create picklists, and manage the picking queue daily during
shipping operations.
● Assist Operations and Warehouse Floor Coordinators with troubleshooting our
Acumatica ERP’s Pick/Pack/Ship processes.
● Assist Fedco’s Customer Service department in communicating with customers
regarding order adjustments and errors and processing changes and refunds in
Acumatica.
● Interface with customers, FedEx, and USPS regarding package delivery issues.
File claims for missing and damaged packages and work to resolve issues and
concerns.
● Work with Inventory & Database Coordinator and Purchaser Coordinators to
proactively communicate with customers regarding crop shortages and other
fulfillment issues and adjust sales orders as needed.
● Proactively communicate with warehouse floor coordinators regarding any
special handling or timing of orders or shipments.
● Organize local spring pickup orders: Work with Warehouse Floor Coordinators to
determine the timing and flow of fulfilling pickup orders, proactively communicate
with customers about the pickup schedule and process, manage the designated pickup order area, facilitate timely order pickup, and issue any outstanding
refunds.
● Assist with planning, training, and staffing customer-facing roles for in-person
spring plant sales.

Year-Round Responsibilities:
● Trees-focused customer service support. Monitor our main customer service
email for Trees-specific questions.
● Maintain an in-depth understanding of Fedco’s products to answer questions
accurately.
● Assist with printing product labels and tags.
● Miscellaneous administrative assistance to the Trees department.
