Job Title: 1st Shift Material Handler
Pay: $17.09/hr
Hours: 1st Shift 6:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday (with Overtime on Fridays when mandatory)

As a Material Handler, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring proper movement, rotation, and staging of materials throughout the department. You’ll work closely with the production team to maintain a smooth, organized, and safe workflow.
What You’ll Do:
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for:
- Obtaining materials from designated areas.
- Rotating materials by date to ensure the oldest material is used first unless specified otherwise.
- Servicing production workstations with the required materials.
- Loading press racks according to established procedures.
- Maintaining inventory control and proper documentation.
- Reviewing and adhering to all applicable work instructions.
- Operating a crane, hoist, chain fall, and forklift (after appropriate training).
- Identifying materials, determining quantities, and performing basic math as required.
- Detecting defects, imperfections, and discrepancies in materials.
- Reporting malfunctioning equipment or potentially hazardous conditions immediately.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
- A willingness to learn and operate industrial powered vehicles (license required after training).
- Skills in detecting defects, performing basic math, and identifying material types.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- The physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
