Job Description
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with hotel
standards. This role also assists in the hotel laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens. The Housekeeping Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, safe,
and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Rooms
• Clean and service guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms
• Replenish guest amenities, towels, and supplies
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing or damaged items, reporting concerns promptly
Public and Common Areas
• Clean and maintain public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and employee areas
• Ensure all areas are neat, orderly, and presentable throughout the day
Laundry Operations
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently
• Fold, sort, and organize linens, towels, and other hotel laundry items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room
General Responsibilities
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly and responsibly
• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Work cooperatively with other housekeeping staff, maintenance, and front desk teams
• Perform additional cleaning or support tasks as assigned
