Job Description
Duties: Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming, change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed; perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed; stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis; dispose of trash and recyclables; respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner; maintain cleanliness of rooms, hallways, and other areas of the hotel; identify and report preventative maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Requirements: Three (3) months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required. Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Rate of Pay: $17.02 per hour, paid weekly. Overtime is available at $25.53 per hour. Employees may be eligible for health & medical benefits after the waiting period & one free employee meal may be available during each shift. For full list of benefits, please contact HR.
A single work week will be used to compute wages. Wages paid weekly. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in 1st pay period for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). Air transport to place of employment will be provided at no cost to worker (air travel paid upfront); Ground expenses & subsistence costs will be reimbursed to worker during 1st pay period. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28/day during travel to a max $68.00/day w/receipts. If worker does not complete at least 1/2 of employment period worker is expected to refund employer. Return transport will be provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early. Employer will provide at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hrs. equal to at least 3/4 of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment.
Possible shared voluntary housing provided by the employer or optional 3rd party housing may be available on a first come basis at $135-$150 weekly and payroll deducted weekly. Housing deposits and/or a $100-$150 nonrefundable admin/cleaning fee may be required if staying in housing. All deductions from worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
