We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of general and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, experience and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work with a lead mechanic that can advise you on the job to be performed in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal operation and safety standards are maintained.

Duties:

• Conduct repairs on diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
• At times, maintain and repair logging machinery, excavators, cranes, and other industrial equipment but in not a requirement.
• Conduct tire service, brake repairs, and other system maintenance.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience with truck repair preferred.
• Familiarity with excavator, crane, tractor-trailer maintenance, and logging machinery is a plus but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension systems, and engine repair required.
• Skilled in tire service and general vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is preferred.
