Job Title: Purchasing Manager 

Pay: $60,000–$85,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll oversee procurement activities, optimize supply-chain performance, and support daily operations through effective purchasing strategies. You’ll work closely with the Finance/Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure workflow continuity, cost efficiency, and reliable material availability.
What You’ll Do:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing purchasing strategies that support operational needs and budget goals.
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with vendors to secure quality materials and favorable pricing.
  • Maintaining and monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely availability of required materials.
  • Reviewing purchase orders for accuracy, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
  • Analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply risks to support purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Production teams to understand material requirements.
  • Tracking and reporting on purchasing performance, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensuring all procurement processes comply with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Resolving supply delays, discrepancies, and issues with vendors or internal teams.  

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role MUST have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE in construction & manufacturing fields.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing management; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and risk-management literacy.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and inventory-control capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and understand material requirements.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate confined spaces, ladders, and extended standing periods.
  • Nice-to-have qualifications: MBA; CPSM or CPIM certification; experience with Sage Intacct, SAP, IFS, or INFOR.
