at PR Restaurants LLC in Westbrook, Maine, United States

Job Description

PR Restaurants LLC, DBA Panera Bread, 11 Main St, Ste 5, Westbrook, Maine 04092, is seeking six (6) temporary F/T workers to work in the associate position from 04/01/2026 thru 11/30/2026. The Associate performs the following specific food preparation tasks using delivered pre-cooked, pre-sliced, pre-washed ingredients and standardized, high-speed methods suitable for fast casual dining:

  1. Hot Sandwiches and Paninis: • Menu Items: Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt, Toasted Frontega Chicken, Turkey Bacon Bravo, Grilled Cheese, and breakfast sandwiches.
  • Method of Preparation: The Associate views a digital monitor (Kitchen Display System) for the order. They retrieve pre-sliced breads (e.g., Focaccia, Ciabatta) and assemble the sandwich by stacking pre-cooked/pre-sliced meats and cheeses and applying pre-made sauces from calibrated squeeze bottles. The assembled item is placed in a high-speed contact oven (TurboChef) where the associate presses a preprogrammed button to toast the item for a fixed duration (approx. 45-60 seconds). Once toasted, they add pre-sliced and washed cold produce (lettuce, tomato) and wrap the item.

   2. Salads and Cold Bowls: • Menu Items: Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, Green Goddess Cobb, Fuji Apple    Salad, Caesar Salad.

  • Method of Preparation: The Associate uses specific color-coded scoops to measure pre-washed lettuce blends into a bowl. They add pre-prepped toppings (e.g., precooked diced chicken, grape tomatoes, feta crumbles) using portion-control utensils. They measure the specific dressing into the bowl, toss with tongs to coat, and transfer to a serving container.

3.Soups, Mac & Cheese, and Warm Grain Bowls: • Menu Items: Broccoli Cheddar Soup, Creamy Tomato Soup, Bistro French Onion, Mac & Cheese.

  • Method of Preparation: These items arrive at the facility fully cooked in vacuum sealed bags. The Associate performs "thermalizing" duties by placing the sealed bags in a hot water bath to bring them to serving temperature. They then pour the contents into heated wells on the service line. Upon order, the associate simply ladles the designated portion into a cup or bowl and adds a garnish (e.g., croutons).

4. Beverages and Smoothies: • Menu Items: Iced Green Tea, Lemonade, Espresso drinks, Frozen Fruit Smoothies.

  • Method of Preparation: The Associate operates automated brewing equipment for coffee and tea. For smoothies, they place pre-portioned fruit puree and ice into a blender and press a pre-set cycle button. For espresso drinks, they utilize an automated machine that grinds and pulls shots automatically, requiring the associate only to steam milk and pour.
